rejuvenate refresh and recover


We all work hard, pushing our bodies and our minds to the point of exhaustion.  Push our body/mind/spirit over the brink and a breakdown can occur.  The only true solution is to rejuvenate your soul.

January 2016 was a horrible start to the year for us. MR N had a horrible canker sore outbreak in his mouth that took more than three weeks to heal. He couldn’t eat without immense pain and we didn’t know what was wrong. It turned out he’s allergic to goat’s milk. My body decided to attack me in various places and the stress of it all was too much. Both of us felt like Job from the Bible and wanted nothing more than to just give up.

Have you ever had something happen to you that you just wanted to wave the white flag on life?  Have you lost a job, loved one, a home?  Have you had someone end a relationship and you felt totally lost?  Life is filled with disasters and they come when you least expect it.

When life gives you lemons, you need to rejuvenate your body/mind/soul.  How?  That is up to you.

For us, it was the last weekend in January.  We stayed inside, ate great food, listened to our favorite albums, worked on puzzles, watched movies and put our feet up on our solarium.   We centered ourselves and we allowed the weekend to recover, refresh and rejuvenate us.

A healthy you is one that has a healthy body, mind and soul.  When you start to feel unwell, take notice and then do whatever you need to do to rejuvenate your soul.  A rejuvenated soul is one that is ready to shine!

    1. Thanks so much, Charles. Sleep, I’m a big supporter of the nap and sleeping. Sometimes when we’re stressed, the best thing to do is to relax and take a nap. Those kindergarten teachers were onto something… 😉
