The last time Chicago Cubs won a World Series

“You know my old saying: live it up, the meter’s running. I’ve always said that if you don’t have fun while you’re here, then it’s your fault. You only get to do this once.” – Harry Caray

I’ve been a Chicago Cubs fan for as long as I can remember. It was on WGN TV when I was growing up and I loved listening to Harry Caray broadcast the games. Every spring, hope would blossom and us fans would pray that this year was the year the Cubs would be champions.

2016 is the year the Chicago Cubs won the World Series! Cubs win, Cubs win!

After 108 years, the World Series curse is over. WHOO! How did it happen?

Hope and hard work.

It didn’t come easy and at times, the Cubs seemed doomed to lose. But with their backs against the wall, they gathered their inner strength and won. Not only that, they had fun doing it.

You know my old saying: live it up, the meter’s running. I’ve always said that if you don’t have fun while you’re here, then it’s your fault. You only get to do this once.

Harry Caray hit the nail on the head. Life is too short and you’ve gotta have fun. Too many people go through life with their heads down, not having fun at all. I sympathize with them as life can sometimes suck the big one. Take a cue from the Chicago Cubs.

Let hope germinate in your heart while working your butt off, all with a smile.

Congratulations Chicago Cubs and Cub fans!!! I’m celebrating with you!
