Sharing with Others Reaffirms That You’re Not Alone #inspiration #TuesdayMotivation

Are you dealing with something and feeling alone?

We all go through “stuff”. Whether it’s a disappointment, failure, illness, tragedy, loss of someone or something else, we’ve all been there. I’ve been there and I know first-hand how lonely it can be. It wasn’t until I shared my feelings with a friend that I realized I wasn’t alone.

Sharing with others allows us to vocalize our feelings of isolation, pain, anger, hurt and helps us connect with people going through the same thing.

I know it can be scary to open up. What if they laugh at you? What if they don’t understand? What if those crazy feelings means you’re insane?

First of all, breathe. You’re normal, as normal as the next person. No, you’re not insane but going through a hard time.

The best thing you can do is share your feelings. If you’re a blogger/writer, write it down. Get those feelings out of you. Share those feelings with others. You’ll be surprised by how many people agree with you.

By sharing something, I realized that I’m not alone.

Go on, share. If you feel like it, go ahead and share in the comments below. This is a safe zone. No one will mock you and I’ll give you a hug. 🙂

  1. It took me a while to share about my current illness, because I thought it had nothing to do with me as an author (which I have since learnt I was wrong because it has everything to do with me as an author), but my second thought was that people think i wanted their pity – incorrect again. Once posted, I was overwhelmed by the support and friendship I received from so many people, some I hadn’t even known before then.
Yes – do share, because we as a community care!
