ALEXANDER’S QUEST was recently named the 2017 Winner of the Independent Press Award for Erotica!
Alexander Dunham has it all – devastating good looks, money, women, and the most exclusive sex club in Texas; but he doesn’t have what he needs. It would take Summer Walker, a sexy little co-ed that he literally slams into on campus to set off a trilogy of events that threaten to dismantle everything in his carefully constructed life, and awaken desires in him he didn’t know he had.
Alex is convinced he’s demon possessed when a voice enters his head and hounds him to act on insatiable cravings he has for Summer and his roommate Noah, which makes him resist even more. But when his disobedience is met with a flurry of pain that is teeth gnashing raw, he realizes soon enough that resisting the demands of his demon is futile.
Alex watched her struggle to put the pieces of that day together like the horrible jigsaw puzzle it was.
The best he could wish for was that when she snapped out of her reverie, her memory would be as hazy as that fateful afternoon on campus.
She teetered in her chair from the powerful images zinging through her mind and to Alex’s alarm, she passed out. When she came to a few seconds later, he was sitting beside her pressing a wet towel on her forehead.
Her amber-colored eyes peered up into his bottomless gray pools warily.
Alex exhaled. Crises averted. She didn’t seem to remember.
“You seemed a little unsteady,” he offered quickly.
“Oh,” she said, blinking.
“Are you OK?” he asked, genuinely concerned.
Summer sat up straight and removed the cloth from her head.
“I’m fine. Must be the heat,” she stammered.
“It does take some getting used to. I’m glad you were able to make it, through the heat and all.”
He continued, “I’m Alexander Dunham.” He said this politely as he gripped her upper arm to give her support. “Why don’t you relax while we wait for the other recipients?”
There were no others, but she didn’t know that.
Summer’s posture eased and calm fell upon her face. Alex was relieved. He’d wanted her unguarded. It would buy him some time to get to know her better.
When the door had opened just minutes before, the sweet smell of jasmine and mint had wafted in, the same as he’d detected that first day.
Alex gritted his teeth to tamp down an escalating desire to touch her again, and a growl he’d tried to stifle, vibrated from his chest.
Summer narrowed her eyes.
“What was that?” she asked nervously.
Shit! She’d heard. Alex tried to school his features before responding. He knew he had to get his impulses under control.
“It sounded like a growl,” she said, looking around. “You didn’t hear it?”
Lie. He’d not only heard it, he’d felt it.
Summer huffed and chuckled. I must be losing it big time, she thought.
“You must really think I’m crazy, but I could have sworn I’d just heard—” She stopped herself when she saw his grim expression.
“Never mind,” she said, waving her hand.
Alex stood up and walked toward the window.
He’d needed to step away from her to get his bearings. Being so close was more than a notion, and she wasn’t making it any easier.
Like the time before, she had chosen to wear next to nothing. Compared to his formal suit, one of them was either under- or overdressed. To be fair, he hadn’t specified a dress code.
She had on a floral mid-drift-baring tank top and a threadbare pair of denim cutoff shorts. The shorts were washed out with frayed ends and tears, with a buttery soft, overly worn look to them.
Her hair, braided in parts, banded around her head in the style of a Venetian Goddess hung in soft waves down to her waist.
Summer’s appeal was that she was authentically vintage and as unaffected as a fresh wildflower picked from the ’70s.
Alex grunted and tried not to think about tossing her sweet little ass on the table and devouring her.

S.Jackson’s love for reading started when she was ten years old and was allowed to travel to libraries and book fairs around the Washington, DC metropolitan area alone. Her idea of utopia is to sip exotic teas in a botanical garden surrounded by books and red bottom shoes.
She is ecstatic to be the recipient of the 2017 Independent Press Award for Erotica for the first book in her Knights of Kybora series, Alexander’s Quest.
